Who am I?

I am a game and web app designer who has a keen focus on team support, reliable communication and an orderly development pipeline.

My ultimate goal is to create game experiences/environments that truly immerse the player into a role. With a focus on game design I consider the process of prototyping very important. It’s also something I think I am quite talented and experienced in. With a high proficiency in Unreal Engines Blueprints I consider myself quite skilled at developing foundational game mechanics/designs. However, recently I have also been devling into the world of Web Application development and hoping to persue this professionally.

My indie and educational projects have given me experience in the wide range of development fields. From creating materials, cutscenes to scripting whole levels and re-targeting animations in Unreal. I have quite a bit of experience which I think is a major boon to my main expertise: Game Design. I think as a Game Designer its important to understand how both artist and programmers think and having experience in both makes my awareness of the overall projects vision that much easier to reach.

This development experience was often programming heavy. These coding skills carried over nicely when I started studying Software development and I’m quite confident with backend frameworks like ASP .NET and .NET in general.

My eclectic range of work that is all playable is something I am extremely proud of as it shows I have a varied skill set. I love to play and develop different experiences but am also able to settle on one experience as necessary. This dedication to a single project can be seen in Project Lizard which is a multiplayer casual collectable game that took me just over a year to make. A game using Unreal that uses a dedicated server, MySQL and more, again exemplifying my range of skills.
