Project Rogue
For this project I sketched and designed a lot of the combat levels and programmed random order placement of them. I also programmed the skills/upgrades into the game using Unreal Engine Blueprints.
Growing Pains
In this project I was responsible for sketching and designing the combat arenas which range from an Outlet to a Skate Park. I also helped in most other areas of Development using Unreal Engine Blueprints.
However this project was also my first in Unreal so although we were given ample time the end result wasn’t quite what we wanted. However I am still choosing to show this piece in my portfolio as a representation of my competence in Blueprints.
From starting with no experience to proficient in the visual scripting language I am confident I have shown some pretty advanced uses of blueprints. This knowledge has helped immensely in my following projects as I am able to prototype quickly and efficiently. Its made designing levels interactivity achievable and means my early iterations aren’t just simple block meshes but actual prototypical levels.
